Electric underfloor heating
We lay electric underfloor heating under tile and stone floors as part of the tiling package: the mats or cables go down in the floor build-up, and the tiles or the stone go straight on top.
What our work includes
- Electric heating mats and loose cables laid to the room layout
- Insulation boards where the specification asks for them
- Levelling over the heating, ready for tiles or stone
- Tiling or stone over the heated floor in the same package
The heated floor is finished with our wall and floor tiling or with natural stone and marble.
Questions
Electric underfloor heating: what estimators ask
Can underfloor heating go under natural stone?
Yes. Electric heating mats and cables work under porcelain, ceramic and natural stone floors, laid in the floor build-up before the stone.
Do you lay the heating and the tiles in one package?
Yes, it's the way we prefer to do it: one team lays the heating, levels the floor and tiles it.
Pricing electric underfloor heating?
Drawings, the tile and stone schedule, the quantities and the programme: whatever you have. We price the labour for the whole tiling and stone package, or for one part of it.
