Wall & floor tiling
We tile walls and floors on residential, hotel and commercial schemes: ceramic, porcelain, large-format slabs, mosaic and terracotta, set out to the drawings and finished to a premium standard. Our labour rate starts from £70 per m².
What our work includes
- Setting out to the drawings, with the joint lines agreed before the first tile goes down
- Floor preparation and levelling, ready for the tile build-up
- Wall tiling in bathrooms, kitchens, lobbies and back-of-house areas
- Large-format porcelain slabs on walls and floors
- Mosaic, hexagon and herringbone patterns, and terracotta
- Trims, movement joints and grouting, then a clean handover
Behind most of our wet areas sits our waterproofing and tanking, and on the floors we often lay electric underfloor heating before the tiles go down. Where the specification calls for marble or limestone, see natural stone and marble.
From our projects
At The Gantry hotel in Stratford we tiled the guest bathrooms with hexagon mosaic floors and porcelain walls, and the porcelain floor of the roof terrace.

Wall & floor tiling: what estimators ask
How much does tiling cost per m²?
Our labour rate for wall and floor tiling starts from £70 per m², materials not included. The final price depends on the tile format, the pattern, the preparation needed and the size of the package.
Do you tile large-format porcelain?
Yes. Large-format porcelain on walls and floors is a regular part of our residential and hotel packages, including bathrooms where the slabs run floor to ceiling.
Do you take whole tiling packages?
Yes. Most of our work is full tiling packages for main contractors on residential, hotel and commercial schemes in London. We also price single areas within a package.
Pricing wall & floor tiling?
Drawings, the tile and stone schedule, the quantities and the programme: whatever you have. We price the labour for the whole tiling and stone package, or for one part of it.
